What We Do
The Seamless Blend supports single parents and blended families as they navigate the complexity of a changing family (landscape/structure). For many people, the (challenge/toll) of new dynamics within their blended family, or uncertainty for separating families can be significant or even devasting. This can impact mental health, wellbeing and other relationships with flow on impact on social, physical or even professional (lives/performance). Our services (aim to provide/offer) clarity, support and strengths-based, family-centred, strategies to (enable/guide) through (this challenge/these transitions).
Throughout the years we have carefully listened to the experiences of children from The Seamless Blend Community and ; reviewed best practice principles; trauma-informed family-centred practices and leveraged our 30 years of knowledge and experience in strengths-based children’s support to provide this informative workshop.
Our services are a great addition to the suite of mental health, wellbeing and family support services on offer. While many people choose to work with psychologists, psychiatrists, marriage counsellors and mediators, The Seamless Blend offers a (practical/real-world/applied/tangible/action-oriented/skills-based) alternative. The Seamless Blend Framework lays the foundation for our approach and was informed by people who had experienced both wins and challenges as blended and separated family members. Therefore, our services are practical in nature; focus on family inclusive solutions; offer trauma-informed guidance; ensure a strengths-based and family-centred ‘coaching’ rather than ‘therapeutic’ model. Our team of professionals have worked to support complex family dynamics between 9-26 years, are all trauma-informed, but most importantly, all have lived experience of being single parents and blending their own families.
