About Us

Our Approach

The Seamless Blend aims to enhance a new family experience and help minimise conflict for blended families, single parents and parents navigating infidelity.  We work to increase communication and understanding - and endeavour to empower our clients through family skill building  for sustainable outcomes.

Our framework and practice methodologies prioritise trauma-informed and self-care principles. These are intentional and work to sustainable skill-building.  Trauma-informed principle ensures our clients understand past, current and future points of pain both for themselves and for their child/ren - with opportunities to heal the hurt and avoid actions that add or create new hurt.  Self-care allows clients to understand the importance for themselves, their child/rent and all family members to stop and take care of themselves mentally, physically, emotionally, practically and/or socially.

Our framework aims to provide solutions that are based on what’s most important to each family member. While TSB remain non-clinical/non-therapeutic in  our coaching methodologies, our practice and overarching Framework is designed to complement clinical and therapeutic services.  This allows our clients the benefit of a practical and easy to follow 'non-clinical' coaching services, that equally is evidence and research based, complementary to  clinical and therapeutic standards and therefore enables enables clinical peer reviews and therapeutic collaborative engagement for strengthened client access, outcomes and opportunities.

Our Story

The Seamless Blend was founded by Angelika and Trent Broederlow in 2019. As a blended family with 5 daughters and ex-partners with different co-parenting schedules, and demanding careers, the Broederlows’ have their own experience of joys and challenges blending families can bring.  Both Angelika and Trent had been married for over a decade, and both had been single for a decade before they blended their family. The two bonded over values alignment as single parents, and noted some similar and some very different experiences when they blended their family - this taught Angelika and Trent that no family or individual is perfect. This inspired The Seamless Blend’s core aim is to –  enhance the family experience, increase familial understanding and minimise conflict.

The Seamless Blend began some years after Angelika and Trent's marriage, when they sought support to blend their family, and realised that the only support on offer was marriage counselling or mediation. Neither of these options suited the family. The Seamless Blend now provides our families what Angelika and Trent were seeking themselves; positive family orientated solutions, that focus on the entire family unit, while supporting each individual’s needs, unique values and prioritising everyone’s need for self-care.

Today The Seamless Blend is led by Founder and Director, Angelika Broederlow and supported by Executive Consultant Paula Westhead, former National Lead of Stepfamilies Australia. We are proud to also have established a strong ongoing partnership with internationally renowned Betrayal Trauma and Recovery Expert Dr Kathy Nickerson Ph.D. , as The Seamless Blend has expanded to offer blended family, single parent and parenting through betrayal expertise and support throughout Australia and internationally.
